Overview
Airbus is looking for a Quality Supervisor I (2nd Shift) to join our A320 team in Mobile, AL. You will direct, supervise and coordinate all operational Quality activities in Single Aisle Flowline in defined area of responsibility. Also manage, motivate and develop the Quality team including Lead Inspectors. You will be responsible for ensuring the Airbus Quality Standards of the entire aircraft based on the defined inspection dossier and in accordance with the POA relevant regulations.

Your Working EnvironmentOn the Airbus Way you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry and is part of Airbus’ strategy to meet growing needs of customers in the United States and beyond.

- Lead Team & Act as Delegate:
Lead and develop the Flowline Quality Line Side Inspection Team; ensure Level 3 qualification of inspection personnel aligns with Airbus requirements - Quality Assurance:
Ensure aircraft production and milestones comply with quality, cost and lead-time targets - Customer Interactions:
Serve as focal point for all customer presentations and interactions
- Mitigate quality escapes endangering the aircraft or product safety; initiate immediate corrective actions
- Be the focal point for all external EASA audits in area of responsibility
- Work within a Manufacturing Flow Team (MFT) to resolve quality issues with feedback loops to MAP, ME, QCM, AQCM and FCM
- Ensure all EASA-POA regulatory requirements are implemented in the Flowline Product Quality and manufacturing organization
- Support and project manage the deployment of sustainable improvement projects and standardize ways of working, including Quality Excellence
- Conduct periodic performance evaluations and collaborate with Quality Manager on personnel communications
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in Aviation (Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly Processes, Production methods, etc.)
- High degree of flexibility and initiative
- Demonstrated effective communication skills at different levels, structured working approach, ability to manage complex information
- Familiar with principles, practices, methods and tools used in aircraft manufacturing
- Experience with non-conformities and design query notes
- Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing processes with emphasis on Structure/Mechanical/Paint tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
- Onsite or remote: 100% onsite
- Vision, hearing, speaking and dexterity sufficient for office and production environments
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs (9 kg) occasionally; climb and work at heights; travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Must be able to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship
