Job Description
This is for an entry level position. Attached to the Production Manager and integrated into a team, your main tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Assembling (install or disassemble) nacelles, engine systems, nacelle components or equipment in accordance with the defined process, using all the recommended means and respecting Quality, HSE and planning requirements.
- Ensuring the availability and conformity of the documentation (complete file and coherent indices) necessary for the operation of assembly and/or dismantling.
- Ensuring the availability and validity of means of production, products used and necessary parts for the operation of assembly and/or disassembly.
- Reporting any failure.
- Handling nacelle elements for availability on the workstation/tool mounting.
- Installing all nacelle and engine hardware, including but not limited to rivets, screws, bolts, nuts, etc.
- Adjusting elements following the nacelle settings after engine installation and on delivery trolley equipment.
- Carrying out touch up painting and minor cosmetic improvement repairs or rework.
- Completing associated documents to guarantee traceability of operations.
- Maintaining workstation, tools and work area in accordance with FOD policy on site and at the customer facility.
- Identifying and reporting in real time all problems and HSE risks to the manager, along with disruptions from normal operating procedures.
- Participating in continuous improvement actions of the production process and Real Time Problem Resolution activity.
- Being willing to perform any task and/or job requirements handed down by the upper operations managing support team.
- Following all instructions provided by leadership to accomplish team goals and satisfy customer needs and demands.
- You have general aeronautical knowledge and are strongly interested in this sector.
- You have good knowledge of techniques for adjustment, assembly and installation of aviation hardware and equipment.
- You respect and understand the quality policy and standards and tools of continuous improvement.
- You understand technical documents (ranges, instruction sheets).
- You must be willing to travel abroad for an extended time frame for training and support.
Behavior and skills:
You appreciate precision work and manipulation of materials and tools with dexterity. You work autonomously and follow the modus operandi. You enjoy teamwork, have good relationships, and are attentive, rigorous and careful. You should have at least an AP certificate or be in the final stages of obtaining your license as a mechanic. Experience in aviation, including engine assembly or rework, can be substituted for an AP license.
Some aviation experience is beneficial but not required.
