• Perform entry-level maintenance and repair tasks in a water or wastewater treatment plant
• Operate equipment and assist in the daily operations of the facility while on assigned shifts
• Train and prepare to advance to the Treatment Plant Operator I level

• Complete any required examinations to qualify for the position

• Graduation from a standard senior high school or successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test
• Ability to pass an examination to qualify for the position
• Must meet established medical and physical standards for the role

• Previous experience or training related to water or wastewater treatment operations
• Familiarity with maintenance and repair tasks in a facility setting
