Job Description
This is for a mid-level position. Attached to the Production Manager and integrated into a team, your main tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Assembling (install or disassemble) nacelles, engine systems, nacelle components or equipment in accordance with the defined process, using all the recommended means and respecting the Quality, HSE and planning requirements.
- Ensuring the availability and conformity of the documentation (complete file and coherent indices) required for the operation of assembly and/or dismantling.
- Ensuring the availability and validity of the means of production, the products used and the necessary parts for the operation of assembly and/or disassembly.
- Reporting any failure.
- Handling nacelle elements to make them available on the workstation/tool mounting.
- Installing all nacelle and engine hardware (e.g., rivets, screws, bolts, nuts).
- Adjusting elements following the settings of the nacelle after engine installation and on delivery trolley equipment.
- Carrying out touch-up painting and minor cosmetic improvements or rework.
- Completing the associated documents to guarantee traceability of operations.
- Maintaining workstation, tools and work area in accordance with FOD policy on site and at the customer facility.
- Identifying and reporting in real time all problems and HSE risks to your manager, including disruptions from normal operating procedures.
- Participating in continuous improvement actions of the production process and Real Time Problem Resolution activity.
- Being willing to perform any task and/or job requirements handed down by upper operations managing support team.
- Following all instructions provided by leadership to accomplish the team’s goals and satisfy customer needs and demands.
You have general aeronautical knowledge and are strongly interested in this sector. You have a good knowledge of the techniques of adjustment, assembly and installation of aviation-related hardware and equipment. You respect and understand the quality policy and standards and tools of continuous improvement. You understand technical documents (ranges, instruction sheets). You must be willing to travel abroad for an extended time frame for training and support.
- General aeronautical knowledge and interest in the sector.
- Knowledge of adjustment, assembly and installation of aviation hardware and equipment.
- Respect for quality policies, standards and continuous improvement tools.
- Ability to read technical documents (ranges, instruction sheets).
- Willingness to travel abroad for extended training and support.
Behavior and skills:
- Appreciates precision work and manipulation of materials and tools with dexterity.
- Works autonomously and follows the modus operandi.
- Enjoys teamwork, maintains good relationships, is attentive, rigorous and careful.
- Should have an A/P Certificate and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the aviation industry. Experience in engine assembly or rework can substitute for an A/P license.
