Overview

Aircraft Cabin Installer role at Airbus U.S. Manufacturing, Mobile, AL. Join our production team to assemble interior furnishings for A220 and A320 family aircraft.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble interior furnishing parts including cockpit, doors, galleys, toilets, floor covering.
  • Install and test electrical units and components.
  • Inspect work of other team members and complete systems before customer acceptance.
  • Perform installation, manufacturing, painting, fitting, torquing, bonding, attaching, disassembling, positioning, and repairs of components and parts.
  • Determine ways to eliminate disruptions and rework.
  • Perform presentations to the customer.
  • Maintain legible and accurate documentation.
  • Follow safe work practices and use/wear prescribed PPE.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years minimum experience in aviation production or equivalent.
  • Previous hands‑on experience with drilling tools, templates, drilling machines, fasteners, and torquing tools.
  • Must be able to work in confined space(s).
  • Must be flexible and work well with others.
  • Training after recruitment:
    Health & Safety, General aircraft familiarization, Quality trainings.
Preferred
  • Vocational school training or previous employer training in application tools and techniques.
  • 5+ years minimum experience in aviation production.

Physical Requirements
  • Vision adequate to read material on computer screens.
  • Hearing sufficient to engage in conversation.
  • Speaking ability to engage in conversations and deliver information.
  • Opable to operate a wide range of tools and equipment, hydraulic lifts, arms, personal and office electronic equipment.
  • Carry up to 20 lbs occasionally, lift up to 30 lbs, push/pull items, stand, sit, walk, squat, kneel as required.
  • Enter confined spaces 12" x 22" passage, work through 9.7" x 17.7" opening using respirator.
  • Work at heights approximately 40 feet on various platforms and lifts.
  • Travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time.
