Job descriptionThis is a mid-level A/P Mechanic position attached to the Production Manager and integrated into a team. The main tasks and responsibilities include assembling or disassembling nacelles, engine systems, nacelle components, or equipment following defined processes while respecting quality, HSE, and planning requirements.
Responsibilities- Assemble or disassemble nacelles, engine systems, nacelle components or equipment according to defined process, respecting quality, HSE and planning requirements.
- Ensure availability and conformity of documentation (complete file and coherent indices) for assembly/disassembly operations.
- Ensure availability and validity of production means, used products and necessary parts for assembly/disassembly operations.
- Report any failures.
- Handle nacelle elements to keep them available on workstation/tool mounting.
- Install all nacelle and engine hardware (rivets, screws, bolts, nuts, etc.).
- Adjust elements following nacelle settings after engine installation and on delivery trolley equipment.
- Carry out touch-up painting and minor cosmetic improvement repairs or rework.
- Complete associated documents to guarantee traceability of operations.
- Maintain workstation, tools and work area in accordance with all FOD policy both on site and at the customer’s facility.
- Identify and report in real time problems encountered and HSE risks to manager, along with all disruptions from normal operating procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement actions of the production process and Real Time Problem Resolution activity.
- Perform any task or job requirement handed down by upper operations managing support team.
- Follow all instructions provided by leadership to accomplish team goals and satisfy customer needs and demands.
- Appreciate precision work and manipulation of materials and tools with dexterity.
- Work autonomously, respecting modus operandi.
- Appreciate teamwork, good relationship, attentive, rigorous and careful.
- General aeronautical knowledge and strong interest in sector.
- Good knowledge of techniques of adjustment, assembly and installation of aviation related hardware and equipment.
- Respect and understand quality policy and standards and tools of continuous improvement.
- Understand technical documents (ranges, instruction sheets).
- Willing to travel abroad for extended time frame for training and support.
- Minimum education level achieved:
Vocational/Trade School. - Minimum experience level required:
More than 3 years. - Must have an A/P Certificate and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the aviation industry. Experience in aviation to include engine assembly or rework can be substituted for an A/P license.
