Job Description

Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site (MMS) is looking for an Aircraft Systems Installer Final Phase to join our production team in Mobile, AL. This position is responsible for the systems installation of the aircraft for the final Phase. It requires a high degree of autonomy, work across the different systems of the aircraft, and exceptional quality. The team works day and late shifts, and the candidate will need to be able to work static 2nd shift.

Working Environment

The Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft is located on 'Airbus Way' near the Mobile Aeroplex ned in 2015, it produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your Challenges Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare mechanical components at the station/work place/aircraft parking space.
  • Install and manufacture: mark, prepare, assemble, adapt, torque and secure mechanical components and parts.
  • Inspect bonding as per order/GTI, drawing and specifications.
  • Check system functions.
  • Inspection of multiple areas.
  • Specialized in the following areas:
  • Hydraulic lines installation and servicing
  • Installation of the Belly fairing
  • MLG Bay / NLG / VU’s / APU / wings inspections
  • Gauging Test
  • Other tasks as needed
Qualified Experience / Skills / Training Education
  • High School Diploma, GED or an equivalent combination of training/experience.
  • The ability to successfully complete the following trainings provided by Airbus after recruitment:
  • Health & Safety
  • General aircraft familiarization
  • Quality trainings
Preferred
  • Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of application tools and in application techniques.
Experience
  • Required:

    2 years minimum experience in Aviation Production or equivalent.
  • Preferred:
    Completed vocational training (Mechanics/Systems); 5+ years hands‑on experience in Aviation Production.
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities
  • Knowledge of System/Mechanical tasks.
  • Good knowledge and experience in LEAN practices.
  • High degree of flexibility.
  • Ability to work under high pressure.
Communication Skills
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
Physical Requirements
  • Vision:
    Adequate to enter and read material on computer screens; able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, give directions and other business interactions.
