Position: Large CNC Machine Operator

Location: Mobile, AL

Pay: $35/hour

Experience: 3–5 years of experience operating Horizontal Boring Mills (manual and/or CNC).

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm

Clark Personnel is seeking a Large CNC Machine Operator to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Set up and operate large CNC Horizontal Boring Mills and Vertical Turning Lathes.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure precise machining.
• Write, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs using G-code and Fanuc controls.
• Perform tooling setup, offsets, and adjustments to maintain optimal part quality.
• Utilize precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.) for inspection and verification.
• Safely move and position heavy parts using overhead cranes and other lifting equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance and ensure machines are running efficiently.
• Identify and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime and improve quality.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.

Position Requirements:

• Experience with setting up and operating large CNC Horizontal Boring Mills.
• Vertical Turning Lathe experience.
• Understanding of blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and CNC programming (G-code, Fanuc, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving, safety awareness, and the ability to manage heavy parts—often using cranes.
• Capability to thrive in a high-volume, industrial environment—both independently and collaboratively.
