A leading veterinary organization is seeking a collaborative and experienced DVM
Operations Partner to support two hospitals in the Mobile/Gulf Shores, Alabama Area
. This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled veterinarian who is passionate about leadership, mentorship, and advancing patient care while continuing to practice clinically.
The DVM Operations Partner position is ideal for an Associate Veterinarian ready to grow into regional leadership or an experienced DVM looking to make a broader impact. The role blends clinical practice with operational leadership, providing mentorship to doctors, supporting hospital operations, and fostering a thriving, collaborative culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesChampion Clinical Excellence
- Dedicate 75–100% of time to direct patient care, building a personal caseload.
- Provide case consultations, mentorship, and hands‑on clinical support.
- Guide newer veterinarians in surgical and dental skills.
- Drive process improvements to enhance operations and client satisfaction.
- Support and mentor DVMs, especially new graduates.
- Partner with leadership on hospital strategy and operational planning.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new veterinarians.
- Foster a positive, team‑oriented environment across hospitals.
- Collaborate on scheduling, staffing, and hospital efficiency.
- Review and interpret performance metrics.
- Partner on budget management and resource allocation.
- Conduct hospital inspections and support a culture of quality care.
- Monitor DEA compliance and other regulatory requirements.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree.
- Active veterinary license in Alabama.
- 3–5 years of veterinary clinical experience.
- DEA license (or ability to obtain).
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and mentorship skills.
- Willingness to travel regionally (company‑paid).
- Clinical Focus
: 75–100% of time in direct patient care. - Leadership & Administration
: 0–25% of time on mentorship, recruiting, and operations. - Schedule

Regional travel required to support assigned hospitals.
