Job DescriptionThe A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Supplier Quality Conformance Manager (QCM) to join our Supplier QCM team based in Mobile, Alabama, USA. You will work alongside Operations and Procurement teams, ensuring adherence to quality requirements and validating supplier issues raised by operations. You will take contingency actions at our suppliers to protect operations from external quality issues while ensuring excellent collaboration with internal teams.
PrimaryResponsibilities (90%)
- Influence and facilitate communications between internal and external stakeholders.
- Be a change agent to promote a culture of quality throughout the company.
- Investigate and identify future risks.
- Synthesize simple to complex situations and present them to different levels of management.
- Communicate and work with different cultures located in different countries.
- Represent Airbus to A220 suppliers.
- As assigned.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering/methods, or similar role within the aviation industry.
- Licensure/
Certifications:
Preferred certifications in quality management, aviation safety, or regulatory compliance. - Travel: 10% domestic and international.
- Citizenship: Eligible for employment in the US, able to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
- Technical Systems: Proficiency with SAP systems and portfolio, MS Office, Google Suite or similar applications.
- Preferred:
Basic IT programming knowledge, analytics. - Communications: Able to influence discussion and stakeholders using fluent English at a negotiation level. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English for a multicultural and multifunctional environment.
- Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Knowledge of AS9100, TCCA, FAA, EASA standards; solid problem‑solving experience; leadership, autonomy, teamwork; flexibility to communicate in different time zones; strong ability to synthesize and document information; good work structure for efficient organization.
- Complexity & Decision Making: Possibility of on‑call duty during weekends/holidays and must act with integrity. Decision making power within guidelines and delegated from Head of Quality Assurance.
