The Lighting Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling lighting products and solutions to businesses, organizations, and individual clients. This role requires a deep knowledge of lighting technologies, strong sales acumen, and the ability to provide customized, energy-efficient solutions. The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with experience in client relationship management, technical product presentations, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
KeyResponsibilitiesClient Engagement & Sales
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, while maintaining relationships with existing clients.
Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact for all lighting-related inquiries, orders, and concerns.
Conduct consultative sales by understanding client needs and offering tailored lighting solutions.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of lighting products including LED lighting, fixtures, controls, and energy-efficient solutions.
Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and market demands.
Continuously research competitor offerings and customer preferences to stay competitive.
Prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations that highlight the benefits and technical features of products.
Develop and submit accurate quotes and proposals with detailed pricing, specs, and timelines.
Negotiate pricing and terms to close deals and ensure customer satisfaction.
Coordinate order processing, delivery, and installation in collaboration with internal teams.
Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build relationships and generate leads.
Provide regular reports on sales activity, client feedback, and progress toward goals.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
5–10 years of lighting sales experience or related field with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong knowledge of lighting systems, energy-efficient technologies, and industry standards.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to translate technical specifications into client-friendly terms.
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and effective both independently and within a team.
Willingness to travel and represent the company at industry events.
