Job Summary

The Lighting Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling lighting products and solutions to businesses, organizations, and individual clients. This role requires a deep knowledge of lighting technologies, strong sales acumen, and the ability to provide customized, energy-efficient solutions. The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with experience in client relationship management, technical product presentations, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Key

Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Sales
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, while maintaining relationships with existing clients.

  • Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact for all lighting-related inquiries, orders, and concerns.

  • Conduct consultative sales by understanding client needs and offering tailored lighting solutions.

Product Expertise & Market Insight
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of lighting products including LED lighting, fixtures, controls, and energy-efficient solutions.

  • Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and market demands.

  • Continuously research competitor offerings and customer preferences to stay competitive.

Sales Execution
  • Prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations that highlight the benefits and technical features of products.

  • Develop and submit accurate quotes and proposals with detailed pricing, specs, and timelines.

  • Negotiate pricing and terms to close deals and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate order processing, delivery, and installation in collaboration with internal teams.

Performance & Reporting
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build relationships and generate leads.

  • Provide regular reports on sales activity, client feedback, and progress toward goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

  • 5–10 years of lighting sales experience or related field with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong knowledge of lighting systems, energy-efficient technologies, and industry standards.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to translate technical specifications into client-friendly terms.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and effective both independently and within a team.

  • Willingness to travel and represent the company at industry events.
