Orthopedic Associate Sales Representative
Arthrex Alabama has been representing Arthrex since 2015 across Alabama. The agency hosts over 50 medical education events annually and maintains a state‑of‑the‑art office with a surgical skills lab. Our team of nearly 30 representatives shares a clear vision and a strong sense of personal accountability.
Responsibilities- Meet and exceed sales objectives for the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships and implement sales strategies.
- Communicate with current and new customer accounts on product updates, portfolio changes, and educational programs.
- Develop and execute effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and achieve territory goals.
- Cross‑sell additional products or introduce new products as they become available.
- Address account‑related issues and provide solutions.
- Maintain compliance and confidentiality of information, acting with ethics and integrity and reporting non‑compliance.
- Receive coaching, training or mentoring from the sales manager and transfer knowledge to peers.
- Maintain training in sales skills, product features/benefits and related business applications.
- Collect competitive data and stay current on industry, customer and competitive trends.
- Participate in sales meetings and professional association meetings as required.
- Lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of orthopedic or related experience; sports experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
- Comfortable in open operating room environments.
- Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology as it relates to Arthrex.
- Knowledge of operating room protocols and procedures.
- Ability to learn technical information, anatomy and indications in surgery and procedures.
- Prior sales experience is a plus.
- MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to create an effective business plan (30/60/90).
- Commission‑driven individual.
- Strong public speaking and communication skills.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Self‑assurance and competitive drive.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions and take responsibility.
- Adherence to all Compliance and Code of Conduct policies.
- Current driver’s license.
- Access to own transportation.
