Orthopedic Associate Sales Representative

Arthrex Alabama has been representing Arthrex since 2015 across Alabama. The agency hosts over 50 medical education events annually and maintains a state‑of‑the‑art office with a surgical skills lab. Our team of nearly 30 representatives shares a clear vision and a strong sense of personal accountability.

Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed sales objectives for the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships and implement sales strategies.
  • Communicate with current and new customer accounts on product updates, portfolio changes, and educational programs.
  • Develop and execute effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and achieve territory goals.
  • Cross‑sell additional products or introduce new products as they become available.
  • Address account‑related issues and provide solutions.
  • Maintain compliance and confidentiality of information, acting with ethics and integrity and reporting non‑compliance.
  • Receive coaching, training or mentoring from the sales manager and transfer knowledge to peers.
  • Maintain training in sales skills, product features/benefits and related business applications.
  • Collect competitive data and stay current on industry, customer and competitive trends.
  • Participate in sales meetings and professional association meetings as required.
  • Lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of orthopedic or related experience; sports experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
  • Comfortable in open operating room environments.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology as it relates to Arthrex.
  • Knowledge of operating room protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to learn technical information, anatomy and indications in surgery and procedures.
  • Prior sales experience is a plus.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements /Specialized Courses and/or Training
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Ability to create an effective business plan (30/60/90).
  • Commission‑driven individual.
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Self‑assurance and competitive drive.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions and take responsibility.
  • Adherence to all Compliance and Code of Conduct policies.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Access to own transportation.
