About the RoleWe're hiring a Rental Field Service Technician to support the maintenance and repair of our rental fleet—primarily forklifts, aerial lifts, and other material handling equipment. This is a hands‑on role with a mix of shop work and field service. If you're a technician who takes pride in doing things right the first time and enjoys keeping equipment running strong, you'll fit right in.
You'll work with well‑known brands like Bobcat, Genie, Linde, and Clark to make sure our customers get dependable, ready‑to‑work equipment every time.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain rental equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, and material handling machinery.
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections to keep equipment in top working condition.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in both shop and field settings.
- Work efficiently to minimize equipment downtime and keep the rental fleet ready for customers.
- Provide on‑site service and emergency repairs at customer locations as needed.
- Build strong customer relationships by delivering high‑quality service and support.
- Maintain detailed service records and complete repair documentation.
- Operate service trucks, diagnostic tools, and lifts to complete repairs.
- 5+ years’ experience as a forklift technician, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment technician.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a team in the shop.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for field repairs.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
