As an HVAC Service Projects Installation Technician, you will support our mechanical projects team with commercial equipment change‑outs, retrofits, and full‑system installations. Typical work includes installing and replacing HVAC equipment, ductwork/sheet metal, refrigerant and gas piping, electrical/low‑voltage wiring, and related systems.
Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
Compensation- Starting at $32.00+/hr based on experience and qualifications
- Install and retrofit commercial HVAC equipment: RTUs, split systems, VRF/VRV, WSHPs, and air- & water-cooled chillers
- Commercial rooftop and equipment installation experience
- Read, interpret, and comprehend blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Sheet metal installation with the ability to detail and field‑fabricate duct when required
- Install refrigerant piping, threaded gas piping, duct systems, electrical wiring, and low‑voltage controls
- Repair and replace equipment components, wiring, and related materials
- Ability to braze and soft‑solder copper for refrigeration and water systems
- Lead and/or run a small crew (4–5 technicians) when needed
- Complete electronic documentation daily on a handheld device
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC retrofit or installation experience
- EPA Universal certification
- OSHA 10 certification (company will provide if needed)
- Experience with water‑cooled and chilled water systems
- Experience with high and low voltage wiring of commercial HVAC equipment
- Commitment to promoting and following all company safety policies
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet project timelines
- Ability to pass a full background check, MVR, and drug screening
- Operate a company vehicle within assigned territory
