The Carpenter Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising crews of Carpenters and Carpenter Helpers in the construction, assembly, and removal of concrete forms and related structures. This position oversees field operations, ensures adherence to plans and specifications, and maintains a strong focus on safety, quality, and crew productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise and direct daily activities of Carpenters and Carpenter Helpers.
- Plan, coordinate, and assign work based on project priorities and schedules.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide layout and formwork.
- Verify measurements, materials, and form alignments to ensure accuracy before concrete placement.
- Oversee the construction, setting, and stripping of forms for foundations, walls, and slabs.
- Inspect work for compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Lead concrete pours, including rebar placement, anchor bolt installation, and embed placement.
- Operate and train others in the use of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Maintain daily reports and communicate progress, delays, and manpower needs to the Superintendent.
- Enforce safety policies, conduct daily safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Promote teamwork and develop the skills of crew members through on-the-job training and mentorship.
- Maintain accurate time records and ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed in a drug-free, safety-first environment.
- Travel to project sites as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience in commercial or industrial construction, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Demonstrated skill in formwork, rebar installation, concrete finishing, and structural layout.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Thorough understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA requirements.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Must provide and maintain required personal hand tools.

Coaches Carpenters and Helpers to improve skill, confidence, and productivity.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods.
- Regularly lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching on uneven terrain.
- Ability to work at heights and around active construction equipment.
- Tolerance for varying weather conditions and physical labor.
Primarily field-based work performed on active construction sites. Exposure to weather, heavy equipment, loud noise, and concrete materials. Regular travel to project sites required.
