Community Aged Care Domestic Cleaner

Job Category:
Community Services and Development

Imagine this...

An older person is no longer able to manage the everyday household tasks they've always done themselves.

• The vacuuming has become difficult
• The bathroom feels unsafe to clean
• The laundry is piling up

Then you arrive!

You restore order, comfort and dignity to their home.

• You have a friendly chat
• You notice how they're doing
• You brighten their day

And when you leave, they're able to continue living safely and independently in the place that matters most to them.

That's the difference this role makes.

We're looking for more than a Cleaner - w e're looking for someone who understands that a clean home is about more than appearance.

• It's about wellbeing
• It's about independence
• It's about helping older Australians remain connected to their community and continue living life their way

If you have experience in community aged care or home care and genuinely enjoy supporting older people, we'd love to welcome you to our team.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day will be a little different, but your work may include:

• Domestic cleaning and household assistance
• Supporting clients to live independently at home
• Building trusted relationships and meaningful connections
• Providing companionship and a friendly face
• Encouraging social connection and participation
• Observing and reporting changes in wellbeing
• Maintaining service records and client documentation
• Following care plans and organisational guidelines

For many of our clients, you may be one of the few people they see that week.

Your visit can mean more than you realise.
