EBeam Development Engineer

Experteer Overview In this senior role, you will lead materials and process excellence across the eBeam product lifecycle, acting as the technical leader for the technology roadmap. You will support early innovation and ensure robust production integration, providing strong field support and driving root‑cause analyses. The role bridges materials science, physics, and manufacturing to enable reliable, scalable eBeam solutions in filling equipment.

Based in Modena, Italy, with initial travel to Switzerland.

Retribuzione / Benefits Lead innovation projects and integration of technologies

Define and manage the eBeam materials and process roadmap

Oversee milestones and deliverables through technical forums

Coordinate Early Innovation activities from concept to validation

Manage stakeholder relationships across R&D, production, quality, and field

Provide technical field support and drive corrective/preventive actions

Support production with foil-related processes and process optimization

Contribute to quality controls and inspection methods for materials and coatings

Bridge materials science, physics, mechanical design, and manufacturing for system integration

ResponsabilitàDegree in Materials engineering or similar

PhD and/or 5+ years industry experience (positively evaluated)
Knowledge of sterilization/irradiation/electron acceleration/plasma

Fluid dynamics and thermodynamics in filling machine environments

Deep expertise in metals and metal alloys, especially titanium-based materials

Coating/deposition technologies know-how; cost drivers and process selection

Understanding of corrosion and degradation in various environments

Experience with vacuum furnace, welding, diffusion bonding processes

Knowledge of semiconductors and sensor technologies for radiation and vacuum

Mechanical design basics for vacuum technologies; impact on materials and manufacturability

Experience with eddy current thickness measurements and vision systems for QCStrong English communication; willingness to travel up to 40% initially

Problem solving, root cause analysis and customer complaint management

IPR knowledge and protection strategies
