Seasonal Part-Time Tax Associate

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business income tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.)
• Review client documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with clients to request required information and provide general guidance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Maintain client confidentiality and uphold professional standards.
• Perform all work in compliance with the Firm's policies and procedures.
• Perform tax-related technical research assigned by supervisors.
• Takes responsibility for service quality, thoroughness and accuracy.

• Minimum 2-4 seasons of tax preparation experience, preferably in a CPA or public accounting firm.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Strong knowledge of tax law, regulations and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing tax returns.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines during tax season.
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work 20 hours per week.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software, CCH Axcess preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Location: Modesto

Compensation: Starts at $35 per hour, DOE
