Pride Staff is looking for a Senior Accountant for a manufacturing company in Modesto, CA.
A Senior Accountant in manufacturing manages financial operations, cost accounting, and inventory valuation for production plants.Key Responsibilities Include the Following:
- Lead financial close activities, prepare journal entries, reconcile ledger and inventory sub-ledgers, and own plant P&L or balance sheet reporting
- Analyze purchase price, labor, overhead, yield, and process order variances
- Track raw materials, monitor Excess and Obsolescence reserves, and execute cost rollups and Bill of Materials updates
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency and explain financial results
- Assist in periodic forecasting, annual budgeting, and ensuring GAAP compliance
- Perform other duties as needed
- Recent, relevant experience within the past 5-10 years
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and hands-on experience with major ERP systems (SAP, Net Suite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate complex financial data for non-financial operations leaders
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or active candidate progress
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to show proof of eligibility to work in the .
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Hybrid (Remote and In Office) M-F from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Pay range varies DOE: $30-$50/HR
