Are you a California‑licensed Optometrist looking to apply your expertise in a dynamic setting? Sylvan Eye Associates is dedicated to ensuring each patient enjoys healthy eyes and clear vision, day in and day out. The practice is currently seeking a full‑time Optometrist for its brand‑new location in Modesto, California. This is a prime opportunity to join a well‑respected practice known for providing exceptional care.

• Engage in full‑scope optometry, providing care to patients of all age groups and visual and medical conditions.
• Educate patients on their ocular health, recommend vision‑enhancing products, and offer personalized care.
• On average, treat two to three patients per hour with a mix of refraction, contact lens fittings, or medical exams depending on the scope of practice and office needs.

This is a career opportunity with a practice owned by VSP Ventures, a VSP Vision Company. While VSP Vision is helping VSP Ventures practices recruit qualified applicants, the hiring decision and acceptance of this position are solely between the hiring practice and the applicant.

• Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D., including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure.
• 1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong business aptitude, self‑discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties.

The working environment is generally favorable; lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
