Salary Range: $78.15–$124.94 hourly (Doctorate $92.09–$128.22); overtime $30/hour
Scope of AssignmentThe successful candidate will join the Social Work and Human Services department that continues to create curriculum responsive to student needs, increasing student completion through strategies geared to increase student equity.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology.
- Knowledge of and ability to appraise the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Desirable Qualifications- Ability to develop curriculum or services that stress innovation and improve student equity.
- Experience in teaching Social Work/Psychology/Sociology at community college.
- Current knowledge of Addiction Studies and assessment processes.
- Experience addressing equity in the classroom.
- Knowledge of Hispanic‑Serving designation.
- Mobility: sit or stand for long periods, move about an office, reach above and below desk level.
- Dexterity: fine manipulation sufficient to operate a keyboard, handle individual papers.
- Lifting: occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Visual & Hearing: read and adjust focus, normal hearing and speaking.
- Emotional/Psychological Factors: concentrate, meet deadlines.

GeneralJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach lower‑division courses providing foundational knowledge for social service delivery.
- Advance equitable learning through exemplary instruction per course outlines.
- Inform students of course requirements and evaluation procedures.
- Prepare and grade assignments, inform students of progress.
- Maintain attendance, scholastic, and other records per published policies.
- Develop, implement, and assess student‑learning outcomes; use results for improvement.
- Engage in data inquiry and self‑assessment to develop student success strategies.
- Participate in professional development to fulfill FLEX requirements.
- Maintain current subject knowledge and effective teaching strategies.
- Maintain professional conduct and ethics.
