Gurnick Academy is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of Nursing, Allied healthcare, and Imaging programs.

We are currently looking for a Part-Time, Respiratory Care Program, Lab Coordinator, Full-time for our Associate of Occupational Science in Respiratory Care at the Modesto, CA campus.

Salary Range, Full-time: $90,000-$102,000 per year

The Laboratory Education Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Lab Instructor/s in the implementation and coordination of the laboratory learning goals and objectives. This position will work in collaboration with the Program Director and lab instructors to assist students develop respiratory care skills to meet the learning particular objectives and competencies of all AOSRC program courses requiring lab hours.

• Coordinates, schedules, and plans activities related to laboratory learning
• Ensures all instructions for the various respiratory care modalities are completed appropriately and properly documented in Trajecsys
• Collaborates with the Program Director and lab instructor/s in the preparation and presentation of instructional materials and activities in keeping with the approved curriculum as required to support student learning
• Develops and implements detailed, clinically based scenarios реп Computerized models
• Collaborates with the Lab Instructor/s in planning a variety of simulation teaching methodologies
• Provides simulation instruction in collaboration with the faculty
• Provides remedial instructions to students in collaboration with the faculty
• Maintains inventory of all supplies, equipment, AV materials, and laboratory manuals, for both current and future lab sites
• Oversees maintenance and ordering of the Respiratory Lab equipment and assures the cleanliness and efficiency of the Skills Lab at all program lab locations
• Demonstrates effective and thoughtful integration of current technologies and online activities
• Provides periodic documentation for reports surveys, and evaluations
• Participates in faculty meetings, committee meetings, and activities to support the mission and goals of the AOSRC Program
• Serves as Didactic Instructor for AOSRC program courses

• Current and unencumbered license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of California
• Hold the NBRC credential for Registered Respiratory Therapist
• A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university
• 3 years of continuous experience as a registered respiratory therapist providing direct patient care within the last 5 years
• Ability to communicate and work person effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators
