Part Time Faculty office Hours are paid at a flat rate of $30 per hour.

The successful candidate will join a Pharmacy Technician department that continues to create curriculum responsive to student needs, increasing student completion through the implementation of strategies geared to increase student equity.
Under supervision of the Dean of Health Professions, teach Pharmacy Technician courses in accordance with course descriptions, outlines and class schedules; evaluate progress of students, advise students concerning educational matters, and participate in activities that strengthen student success. The Pharmacy Technician program is an on-campus face-to-face in-person program. The Pharmacy Technician Program is an advanced-level ASHP accredited program recognized by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board for sterile compounding training.
Possession of a current/valid license and or certification (preferably Enhanced Level) that is in good standing with issuing licensing board.
At least 5 years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in the discipline; OR have graduated from an ASHP accredited Program and 3 years of recent and relevant experience in the discipline; OR an Associate’s degree and one year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) recent and relevant experience in the discipline.
Knowledge of and ability to appraise the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Sensitivity to the needs, problems and challenges associated with the diversity of the community college student population.
- Mobility: ability to sit or stand for long periods, move about an office, and reach above and below desk level.
- Dexterity: fine manipulation sufficient to operate a keyboard, handle individual papers, write and take notes.
- Lifting: occasional lifting of papers, files, equipment and material weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Visual Requirements: close vision sufficient to read files, documents, and computer screens and do close‑up work; ability to adjust focus frequently.
- Hearing/Talking: ability to hear normal speech, speak and hear on the telephone, and speak in person.
- Emotional/Psychological Factors: ability to make decisions and concentrate; frequent contact with others including some public contact; frequent deadlines and time‑limited assignments.
