Aseptic Mixer is responsible for mixing a variety of Non‑Dairy based liquid products through written batch records via Oracle and verbal instructions. Ensure the quality and efficiency standards are being met through reduced scrap loss and yield improvements. Follow written and verbal procedures to ensure quality and efficiency standards are being met. Assume responsibility for the filling area efficiencies, safety, quality following all GMP and PPE requirements for the safety of others and oneself.

Effectively communicates verbal and written information relevant to the position at the site. Fill in for vacations and or cover if other employees are absent.

• Coordinates, Sets‑up, CIPs, Swab tests, monitors, and runs the mixing area following batch records for a variety of Non‑Dairy products. Maximizes quality and efficiency.
• Assists with routine maintenance on all mixing equipment, including valves, o‑rings, homogenizer packings and oil, gaskets. Documents maintenance work orders correctly.
• Troubleshoots and resolves basic to moderate operating difficulties involving area equipment.
• Starts up and shuts down all equipment related to the mixing area.
• Understands flow process for all mix areas.
• Identifies all critical control points and their function in the mixing area.
• Accurately prepares and completes all area paperwork with legible handwriting as required by the FDA.
• Works with Management to monitor operational efficiencies, yields, scrap loss, and key indicators to improve plant productivity.
• Understands terminology of mixing equipment.
• Communicates with warehouse, process operator, and supervisor on any delays or problems that could hinder product flow.
• Monitors mixing operation ensuring ingredients are correct during staging and mixing.
• Receives tankers.
• Performs quality checks to assure standards are met.
• Directs transfer of batched product to storage vessels.
• Takes samples for the quality department.
• Relieves other production team members for breaks and absences as required.

• Adheres to all plant safety rules.
• Reports all near misses and accidents to the production supervisor or HR representative.
• Participates in monthly safety inspections and reports hazards to the safety committee or Management.

• Adheres to all Quality Assurance System guidelines.
• Follows SOPs and SSOPs to ensure high‑quality aseptic products.
• Ensures compliance with GMP, HACCP, and SQF programs.
• Identifies all critical control points and their functions within the mixing and processing area.
• Prepares and maintains mix area documentation accurately and legibly. Operator’s name is signed on each document.

• Assists maintenance technicians in the work area to expedite repairs.
• Reports equipment disrepair promptly to avoid breakdowns.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Assists all plant areas with general housekeeping.
• Cooperates with other shifts and Management in housekeeping efforts.

• Ensures effective shift communication and teamwork with other operators.
• Maintains effective communication with support group members.
• Uses handheld radios professionally and respectfully.

• Promotes and contributes to a strong team.
• Works cooperatively among co‑workers.
• Coaches and trains employees as requested by Management.

• Continuously improves knowledge of the mixing area.
• Becomes familiar with Sun Opta 360.
• Completes and adheres to the annual Alchemy schedule.
