Plant Environmental, Health and Safety Manager

Schedule: Full-time, on-site

An established manufacturing operation with a seasonal production cycle is seeking a hands-on Plant Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to lead its EHS function. This is a critical, highly valued role that will shape the plant's safety culture, especially during seasonal ramp-ups between July and October, and will directly supervise a three-person EHS team.

• Lead and directly supervise a 3-person EHS Department consisting of EHS Generalists
• Build, drive, and sustain new behavioral safety and health programs, systems, and training for the facility
• Enhance the site's overall safety culture and employee engagement
• Lead teams and develop staff within the EHS department
• Partner with the site leadership team to build a sustainable EHS program
• Build a comprehensive safety plan, then execute and prioritize action items
• Act as a change agent and leader-coach, driving culture change across the plant, including during seasonal gear-ups from July through October

• 5 years of EHS (safety focus) experience within manufacturing operations
• Bachelor's degree required, in safety, environmental, or a technical field
• 5+ years of plant safety experience with a proven track record of success
• Manufacturing plant experience required
• Demonstrated ability to build a safety plan, execute and prioritize action items
• Leader-coach mentality, change agent, and team-oriented focus

• Food manufacturing experience preferred, though candidates from wide-ranging general manufacturing operations are welcome
