Microbiologist – Graveyard Shift (Modesto, CA)

IEH Laboratories, a leader in food safety, is now accepting applications for a Microbiologist – Graveyard Shift position at its facility in Modesto, CA.

• A BS or BA in the biological sciences or related field (required)
• Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory

Microbiologist duties include:

• Analysis of food samples for pathogens via PCR and immunoassay
• Various microbe enumerations
• Data entry and laboratory reporting
• Quality control, media preparation, and other duties as assigned

The pay rate for this position is $22.00 hourly (plus $2/hour night shift differential). The role is full‑time, with a brief waiting period before eligibility for benefits. The shift runs Wednesday through Sunday, from 12:00 am to 8:30 am.
