The Electrical Line Technician installs, repairs, and maintains temporary power poles, lines, and generators for our customers. This role assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
Essential Functions- Maintain, operate, and repair electrical systems
- Perform installation and maintenance tasks to ensure effective operation of various electrical equipment
- Install and repair temporary power poles using hand tools and testing instruments to diagnose malfunctioning systems and isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other elements of electrical systems
- Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications
- Inspect completed work for conformance with applicable safety codes
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch to update status and receive additional instructions
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Maintain truck logs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Three years of experience as a journeyman electrician
- Valid driver’s license (CDL or non‑commercial)
- Excellent time management, customer service, and communication skills
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
- Sit while driving and stand while servicing products
- Use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Repeat the same movements periodically
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distances
- Speak clearly so customers can understand
- Understand the speech of another person
- Hear sounds and recognize differences between them
- Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion
- Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling
- Lift up to 40 lbs from waist to shoulders
- Lift 30 lbs from floor to head
- Crouch and squat
- Push 100 lbs and pull 100 lbs horizontally
