Utility Worker

Transdev in Modesto, CA is hiring a Utility Worker/Service Employee. The Utility Worker/Service Employee is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

CBA Position:

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:

• $22.70/hour (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
• Starting pay $22.70 with progression to $24.69 over 4 years.

Benefits include:

• Vacation : 1 week after 1 year of service, 2 weeks after 2 years of service, 3 weeks after 5 years of service and 4 weeks after 13 years of service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
• Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles
• Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids
• Downloading drive cameras & probes fare boxes
• Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of shop safety standards.
• Must be well organized.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must have valid CDL License with airbrake requited.
• Must be self motivated and able to perform without constant or immediate supervision.
• Ability to work as a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
• Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
