Based in Moira, this part-time Production Assistant role with Pertemps North Midlands supports a manufacturing client's assembly department. You will prepare materials, stock, and components, ensuring they are readily available to maintain smooth workflow. The position suits candidates with backgrounds in production, warehouse operations, stock control, stores, or picking and packing. Key duties include supporting daily operations and maintaining organisation. This permanent contract offers a salary of £13,218 to £13,219 per annum, plus a monthly bonus.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our valued manufacturing clients for a Part-Time Production Assistant to join their friendly and established team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, takes pride in staying organised, and wants to play a key part in supporting a busy production environment. Working as part of a close-knit team, you'll help ensure materials, stock, and components are always prepared and readily available, helping production run smoothly and efficiently.

The Role As a Production Assistant, you'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the assembly department, including:
  • Preparing and replenishing components for production teams
  • Checking incoming stock deliveries and booking items into stock systems
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
  • Preparing cables and components ready for assembly
  • Supporting annual stock-taking activities
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment
  • Assisting with general operational and site maintenance duties as required
  • Using Microsoft Excel and Word to support stock and production processes
What We're Looking For

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable using computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Practical and hands-on with a proactive approach
  • Able to prioritise tasks and work independently
  • Flexible when required to support operational demands
  • Previous experience in a production, warehouse, stores, stock control, or manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous, although full training will be provided.
