Role Overview
Our client is seeking a hands‑on Accounting & Finance Manager who loves getting into the details and helping a growing company stay on top of their financials. This is a full‑time / permanent position with a direct client of Aprio.
Location: Mokena, IL (On‑site, 5 days per week)
Role

Accounting & Finance Manager
Base pay: $90,000.00 – $ per year
Annual bonus target: ~10%

- Full ownership of the accounting function within Quick Books Online (QBO)
- Oversight and support of a bookkeeper handling data entry
- Monthly close responsibilities, including bank and account reconciliations
- Inventory monitoring and reconciliation (inbound/outbound movement)
- Preparation of monthly financial reporting packages
- Assistance with year‑end close activities
- Collaboration with AP/AR teams (but not direct management)
- Daily partnership with leadership across operations and finance
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online (QBO)
- Hands‑on accounting operations experience, particularly around reconciliations and inventory
- High attention to detail and ability to self‑manage without heavy oversight
- Comfort working in a warehouse‑based, blue‑collar environment (this is not a corporate office setting)
- Willingness to be on‑site every day in a casual but fast‑moving operation
- Experience with in food, natural products, CPG, distribution, or inventory‑heavy environments
- Interest in health, wellness, or natural foods
- Prior experience in a small, family‑owned or entrepreneurial business setting
