Responsibilities

As a Service Manager
, you’ll lead a high‑performance culture. You’ll apply proven leadership to develop and motivate the team to deliver top-notch service. You’ll blend industry knowledge with interpersonal skills to earn customer trust with knowledge and empathy, and you’ll communicate effectively with heavy customer and employee engagement. You’ll support business growth and lend a hand with community service projects.

  • Lead an entire service operation upon completion of paid training.
  • Motivate the service team to consistently provide world‑class service, prioritizing safety.
  • Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
  • Assist with recruiting top talent for the service team.
  • Train and develop Orkin Pros through hands‑on management.
  • Lead training meetings.
  • Oversee the Orkin Pro Ride‑A‑Long program.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded through inspections, proposed course of action, and delivery of outstanding empathetic customer service.
  • Champion innovation by supporting the team in adopting new products, services and technology.
  • Monitor scheduling, routing and inventory to drive efficiencies and productivity.

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

  • Field Service experience highly preferred
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees at varying experience levels.
  • At least two years of lead experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain required pesticide license/certification if needed (company paid).
  • Independent field work and client interaction.
  • Problem‑solving in a tactful, professional manner; quick, efficient thinking on the spot.
Work Environment

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations.

  • Safely use a ladder within manufacturer weight capacity.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, and similar areas, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including OSHA‑compliant respirator sometimes.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
