Overview

• Perform welding operations such as arc, MIG, TIG brazing and burning in all positions on a variety of metals.
• Operate drill press to make parts for fabrication.
• Record measurements and pertinent information as required.
• Weld per SMAW, GMAW, GTAW standards; vertical up, vertical down, and horizontal.
• Plasma arc cutting.
• Air carbon arc cutting.
• Pipe bending, fitting, welding, and threading.
• Use horizontal and vertical saws, torch, and cut off wheel.
• Set up and operate all welding machines and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Set up and operate all machines in the fabrication area and perform basic troubleshooting.

• GED or high school diploma.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical applications.
• Follow instructions and established procedures.
• Read and interpret welding prints.
