As the Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer), you will deliver professional quality services with the utmost focus on pet quality and care. You will support the development of bathers and new stylists, guiding them through our pet stylist development program.
Essential Responsibilities- People Leadership – Facilitate associate experience, train, onboard, mentor, coach, provide feedback, manage daily tasks, address complaints, celebrate engagement.
- Salon and Overall Store Experience – Deliver pet parent experience on phone, in person, online, recommend wellness solutions, engage at checkout, drive marketing engagement, use booking system, ensure compliance, perform full menu of grooming services, promote salon sales, maintain cleanliness and humane conditions, report sick/injured pets, coordinate with Experience Leader.
- 2+ years grooming experience; may be asked to complete a technical exam.
- Full‑time availability with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency with tools, equipment, and products for safe technical work.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and safety measures.
- No direct reports; guide and support development of other associates.
- Provide feedback on associate performance to direct supervisor.
- Stand, walk, climb a ladder, use hands to handle, feel, hold, write; frequently reach, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk and hear; depth perception required.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally team lift up to 100 pounds.
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet environment with pet hair, moderate noise; exposure to live animals and handling common.
