SUMMARY

Purpose ........ This position is responsible for all maintenance, repair, and upkeep activities of Bear Creek Memory Care Community, including managing housekeeping staff and communicating with Bear Creek on all appropriate matters.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES

Typical ......

  • Preventative Maintenance Program: The Maintenance Director is responsible for a building-wide preventative maintenance program designed to keep all equipment in good working order, including HVAC, fire alarm, emergency call system, generator, kitchen equipment, irrigation, sprinkler systems, and outside walkways. Quarterly walk-throughs will identify areas needing attention.
  • Repair and Maintenance of building, equipment, and grounds: Responsible for prioritizing and completing work orders to meet standards of Bear Creek, owners, and resident satisfaction, including safety hazards identified during walk-throughs.
  • Supervising Housekeeping Staff: Supervises all Maintenance and Housekeeping personnel, including screening, hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with training and human resource policies.
  • Turning around vacated units: Reviews vacated rooms to prepare for new residents, including patching, painting, carpet cleaning, and repairs, coordinating with the Executive Director on issues.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensures safe work practices, manages unsafe actions, and complies with safety standards. Assists with injury investigations and return-to-work procedures.
  • Team Effectiveness: Fosters teamwork, shows initiative, and positively impacts co-workers, residents, and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.
  • Proven management experience and ability to manage staff.
  • Minimum three years experience in maintenance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, walking, bending, data entry, reading, communication, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to paint, vacuum, climb into attics, and perform work off ladders.

Compensation: $20 - $25
