Contract:
Full Time and Part-Time. Salary: £12.21 per hour. Shift Type:
Days. Contracted hours: 24 to 48.
Marine View Lodge Care Home is a modern, purpose-built 80-bed home delivering high-quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in a warm, supportive, person-centred environment. You’ll be a key person in helping us achieve an excellent standard of care for residents and an integral part of our care team to promote the values and ethos of our home.
What You’ll Do- Empower Independence:
Assist residents with daily routines, from getting dressed to staying active, while encouraging them to remain as independent as possible. - Personalized Care:
Follow and support each resident’s personalized care plan with hands-on help and thoughtful attention to individual needs. - Health and Wellbeing:
Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals. - Champion Dignity:
Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident in every interaction. - Social Support:
Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment. - Safety and Comfort:
Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces; respond quickly to emergencies or call bells. - Nutritional Support:
Assist residents who need help with eating and drinking, ensuring nutritional needs are met. - Spread Smiles:
Bring joy to residents’ lives and help them smile every day.
- Qualifications:
SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred. - Experience:
Ideally at least 6 months as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with passion for care and transferable skills. - Passion:
Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and delivering excellent service. - Values:
Integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork.
