Yard​/Plant Operative; Rotating Shifts

£13.35 per hour + Overtime opportunities

This position operates Monday to Friday (7am-5pm Monday to Thursday, early finish Friday)

Your day-to-day routine will include the usual key yard duties:

• Loading & Unloading: Safely handling containers and curtain-sided vehicles using a Forklift Truck as well as Bagging sand and aggregates on a bulk bag hopper and automatic bagger.
• Daily Checks: Conducting safety inspections on machinery, plant, and equipment, and filling out daily plant books to ensure everything is in good working order.
• Housekeeping: Cleaning the yard and removing non-conforming materials to maintain a tidy and productive working environment.
• Logistics & Communication: Closely liaising with our Weighbridge Operator to track daily inbound/outbound material levels.
• Safety First: Ensuring the company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies are strictly followed at all times.

• A valid licence for either a FLT licence
  - Desirable but not essential
• Previous experience managing loading, unloading, and housekeeping in a yard environment
  - Desirable but not essential
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Good communication skills to work effectively alongside the weighbridge and management teams.
