Experienced hseq professional with strong health, safety and compliance skills required for a multi-site operation in the waste management & recycling sector title: hseq manager salary: £52,000 £ 55,000  pension location: north west candidates may be based in wrexham, mold, oswestry or surrounding areas the role we are seeking an experienced hseq manager to take responsibility for operational performance, health, safety, environmental and compliance activities across a multi-site waste management and recycling operation.

The successful candidate will have strong hseq experience, excellent knowledge of uk legislation and the ability to lead teams while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and operational performance across multiple sites. You will be confident operating in a fast-paced industrial environment and have the ability to influence, engage and lead employees and managers at all levels. You will have been an: hseq advisor, sheq advisor, hse advisor, health, safety & environmental advisor, compliance & hseq advisor, ehsq advisor (environmental, health, safety & quality), operations manager, hseq operations manager, sheq operations manager, health & safety operations manager, environmental compliance operations manager, operations & compliance manager, hseq manager, you may have worked in: waste management, recycling, heavy industry, manufacturing, engineering, construction, other industrial or operational environments key responsibilities as hseq manager, you will be responsible for supporting operational performance while driving high standards of health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

Your responsibilities will include: manage health, safety and compliance across all sites. Provide practical hseq advice to management and employees. Ensure compliance with uk health & safety and environmental legislation. Conduct audits, inspections, investigations and compliance reviews. Support external audits and regulatory inspections. Maintain and improve hseq management systems. Monitor environmental compliance and permitting requirements. Identify hazards, assess risks and implement effective controls.

Promote a strong health and safety culture. Liaise with the environment agency and natural resources wales. Monitor performance, corrective actions and operational improvements. Support iso 9001, iso 14001 and iso 45001 compliance. You will have hseq, hse, sheq, or compliance experience. Strong knowledge of uk health & safety and environmental legislation. Multi-site operational management experience. Experience managing teams within an industrial environment.

Strong audit and compliance experience. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to influence, engage and lead at all levels. Proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment. Full uk driving licence and willingness to travel between sites. Experience & qualifications ideally, you will have: experience within waste management, recycling, heavy industry, manufacturing, engineering or another industrial environment.

Previous experience working with or alongside the environment agency (ea) or natural resources wales (nrw). Knowledge of environmental permitting regulations. Nebosh general certificate, iosh managing safely or equivalent qualification. Wamitab qualification, or willingness to obtain one. Experience maintaining and developing iso 9001, iso 14001 and iso 45001 management systems. Strong understanding of risk assessments, method statements, incident investigation, audits and compliance monitoring.

The ideal candidate this role would suit an experienced hseq manager, hseq manager, sheq manager, hse manager, operations manager or senior hseq advisor looking to take ownership of hseq standards across a multi-site industrial operation. You may currently be working as an hseq advisor, sheq advisor, hse advisor, health & safety advisor, hseq manager, operations manager, operations & compliance manager or operations & hseq manager within waste management, recycling, manufacturing, engineering, heavy industry or a similar operational environment.

Full uk driving licence and willingness to travel between sites is essential.
