Attending Physician

Overview

Sub‑Acute, Long‑Term Care is an expanding sector offering work‑life balance without on‑call duties. We seek a FFS Attending Physician/Medical Director for a float position between our centers in Moline, IL and Mt. Morris, IL. The role requires BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with LTC Experience and is a dual clinical and leadership position.

• Work with Center Medical Director to ensure delivery of clinical services aligns with Align Med Partners mission.
• Oversee implementation, utilization, and outcome measurement of Align Med Partners Clinical Programs and nationally accepted standards of care.
• Report to the Align Med Partners Regional Medical Director and account to the Center Administrator and Medical Director.
• Take full responsibility for patients admitted to the service.
• Comply with credentialing process, policies, procedures, and “Rules and Regulations” of the Medical Staff.
• Conduct visits to assigned patients in a timely manner, ensuring a complete history and physical examination is on chart within 72 hrs following admission.
• Deliver high‑quality care and act as a role model for other physicians and staff.
• Coordinate transfer and care arrangements with area hospitals and other institutions.
• Maintain compliance with legal requirements, standards, policies, the Compliance Process, Federal False Claims Act, HIPAA, and required orientation/training programs.
• Report concerns and suspected non‑compliance to management or the Compliance Officer via the Reach‑Out Line.
• Cooperate with monitoring, audit functions, and investigations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• M.D. or D.O. required.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine – maintenance of certification preferred.
• Geriatrics specialization desirable.
