Black Hawk College is seeking a Speech instructor to join the ESL, Languages, Humanities, Philosophy, and Speech Department.
Description of DutiesFaculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi, developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students’ educational experience; evaluating students’ performance; and developing, securing, and maintaining the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.
Education and ExperienceMaster's degree in speech communication, speech studies or related field required; experience in teaching public speaking preferred; oral English proficiency required.

- Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
- Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024):
- Less Than a Master's Degree = $693.36 per equated hour
- Master's Degree = $808.92 per equated hour
- Doctorate = $866.70 per equated hour
