Black Hawk College seeks an Adjunct Faculty/Part-time Instructor for the Art/Design Department.
Description of Duties
The faculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi, developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students' educational experience. They will develop, execute, and evaluate student performance, and develop, secure, and maintain the equipment and instructional materials essential for classroom presentation.
Education & Experience
A Master’s degree in Art or Fine Art (M.A./M.F.A.) with emphasis in fine arts studio disciplines, interdisciplinary studies, animation, visual communication, or web design is required. Ability to instruct studio courses and art appreciation courses is required. Teaching experience in Art at the secondary or post-secondary level is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024):
- Less Than a Master's Degree = $693.36 per equated hour
- Master's Degree = $808.92 per equated hour
- Doctorate = $866.70 per equated hour
