Black Hawk College is seeking a Speech instructor to join the ESL, Languages, Humanities, Philosophy, and Speech Department.
Description of DutiesFaculty members are expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi, developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students' educational experience. They develop, evaluate, and execute appropriate methods of assessing student performance. Additionally, they develop, secure, and maintain the equipment and instructional materials essential for classroom presentation.
Education and ExperienceA Master's degree in speech communication, speech studies, or a related field is required, with experience in teaching public speaking preferred. Oral English proficiency is also required.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024):
Less Than a Master's Degree = $693.36 per hour
Master's Degree = $808.92 per hour
Doctorate = $866.70 per hour
