Job Description
John Deere is a global leader in agricultural equipment and seeks dedicated students to join our Factory Engineering team. This part‑time student program is year‑round and supports the company’s mission to improve food, fiber and infrastructure worldwide.

Responsibilities- Investigate product and process related issues and recommend changes based on observations and salary/wage interactions.
- Participate in the implementation of the resulting activities.
- Provide special engineering project support at the direction of the factory engineering team.
- Provide analysis to support timely and accurate solutions to line side issues.
- Perform audits or reviews, including inputting and maintaining information in factory databases and systems.
- Assist in investigations and corrective actions and leverage innovative ideas to best address long standing manufacturing issues.
- Graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Familiarity with information gathering and analysis techniques.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong communication skills with experience solving technical problems.
- Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis.
- Ability to work 16‑20 hours during the academic year and 30‑40 hours during the summer semester.
- Enrolled in an accredited engineering / data analytics / IT or business program having completed coursework covering engineering or science related topics.
- Project or work experience in a manufacturing or technical field.
- Demonstrable mechanical aptitude or familiarity and ability to work within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with drawing and schematic interpretation, product models and/or geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Experience with software programming languages and/or ML familiarity.
- Experience in one or more related engineering areas: electrical, software programming, troubleshooting, design, and manufacturing.
- SAP experience.
- Knowledge and experience with agricultural equipment or other off‑highway machinery.

Pay: $15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
