The Commercial Credit Analyst works directly with existing members to develop and cultivate relationships, while driving deposit and loan opportunities. Analyze and deliver individual business service needs, track, and report results, while providing an exceptional experience and driving the strategy of the credit union.

• Analyzes and interprets complex financial data.
• Promptly prepares summary reports on findings. Verifies accuracy of information and completeness of analysis/ratios. Understands and is familiar with financial documents and schedules.
• Reviews assigned risk grades on all commercial, small business and SBA loans. Confirms or changes the grade at initial review or annual review.
• Prepares comprehensive and accurate credit approval recommendations, online credit renewals and other basic loan transactions, addressing member borrowing needs, sources of repayment, loan structure and significant issues regarding member business loan applications.
• Reviews loan documents prior to borrower signings for accuracy and post signing for proper execution to ensure adequate enforce ability of company’s position for new and existing loans reviewed. This includes loan details, document review, financial copies, approvals, etc.
• Monitors and requests required financials from members for existing loans to complete annual reviews and covenant monitoring requirements.
• Interfaces with members and business staff in a timely manner.
• Maintains excellent member relations, provides services, and cross sells credit union products.
• Possesses thorough knowledge of credit union policies and procedures and of laws pertaining to loan processing and disclosures.
• Make recommendations regarding loan structure and credit worthiness.
• Stays abreast of all current business lending and disclosure laws or regulations which are enacted or revised and concern financial institutions.

• Four-year degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years commercial experience or training, preferred
• Prior experience working for financial institution, desirable
• Working knowledge of commercial systems and regulatory compliance
• Basic knowledge of tax returns, financial documents, and cash flow models
• Working knowledge of MS Suite

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, walking, finger dexterity, reaching, stooping, and grasping functions. The position also often requires reaching and lifting (up to 25 pounds). Frequent sitting, standing, and repetitive motion activities are also required.

Must be able to read print and computer-based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy. Most of these functions require light physical exertion and are conducted indoors at controlled degrees of temperature.
