Job Summary: The caregiver provides in-home care to individuals who have difficulty performing basic day-to-day activities by assisting with personal care, administering medication, and providing companionship. The caregiver plans and follows a daily care schedule with clients, modifies care plans as prescribed by medical professionals, and reports on any new conditions or needs that may arise. Assists with personal care, which may include bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.

Follows a prescribed healthcare plan and may be expected to complete light housekeeping tasks. Provides emotional support, encouragement, and mobility assistance. Transports or escorts clients to medical appointments. Monitors and reports changes in health, behavior, and needs. Must be patient, empathetic, observant, and committed to making the client feel comfortable.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle required when applicable.
