Finish Technician

This hands‑on position is responsible for fabricating and refurbishing aircraft Interior furnishings.

• Applies primer, top coat paint, and any spray‑applied coatings to detailed parts, sub‑assemblies and major assemblies of aircraft interiors
• Preps various substrates (plastic, aluminum, wood) for use in aircraft cabinetry
• Work with and assist in the directing of a team in order to accomplish an established goal
• Vast knowledge of various finishes (polyurethane, lacquer, enamel, and stains)
• Highly efficient in masking techniques and ability to train others
• Ability to do high build high gloss veneer finishes with little to no supervision and train others
• Repair damaged interior panels as directed by the crew chief
• Able to repair damaged wood grains via airbrush or touch up

• Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor
• Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Excellent workmanship aptitude and a desire to initiate improvements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to attain and retain AOA badge or Airport requirements
• Four plus years Paint/ finish experience
