Electrician/ Electrician Installation, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Hourly Rate: $35/hr - $42/hr
Hours may vary based on business demands.
This position is responsible for laying out, installing, modifying, and maintaining complex electrical circuits, electrical and electronic equipment in a team environment. Diagnoses and remedies any electrical problem. Types of Machines, Tools and Equipment Used or Operated:
Electrical testing equipment, electrician’s hand and power tools of all types, pipe benders, hoist, tape, soldering equipment, etc.

- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Must have thorough knowledge of both national and local electrical safety codes.
- Works from intricate wiring diagrams and schematic drawings involving the use of standard electrical symbols for power, control and measurement.
- Works from prints, sketches, or verbal instructions as required.
- Plans work sequence and selects materials and tools.
- Establishes primary and secondary distribution centers, balances loads, wires circuits having a large number of units and connections.
- Must be able to locate and correct electrical trouble of any nature including work on high voltage circuits.
- Work may require the use of rigging, ladders and building structure.
- Installs and/or maintains motor, generators, lights, electronic equipment, transformers, switches, lightning arrestors, welding equipment, power and light lines, control panels, automatic controls, switchboards, etc.
- Lubricates and cleans equipment.
- Cleans work area and performs other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
- Repair or salvage old wiring or other electrical equipment.
- Do general maintenance and construction work at times when electrical work is not available or scheduled.
- May also perform other non-job-related duties as directed by a supervisor.
- Journeyman Electrician or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical experience.
- Experience with 15
Kv and lower electrical equipment. - Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift hours, holidays and weekends.
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
- This position requires a valid Driver’s License.
- This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
- This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
- This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
- Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.
- Flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
- Move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.
- Stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
- Walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
- Differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
- Interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
- Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
- Must be able to work from a ladder.
- Wear steel toe, metatarsal safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hat and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
- Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
