Position:
Mine Equipment Operator I The candidate will operate and maintain heavy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations while adhering to company and regulatory safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • 1-3 years' experience as a heavy equipment operator.
  • Comprehends documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, load charts, and procedure manuals.
  • May be required to work overtime based on business and facility needs.
  • Working knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with utmost regard to safety.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to understand technical instructions.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Safe operation of excavator, backhoe, telehandler, front end loader, haul truck.
  • May build level and excavate land surfaces using graders and other construction equipment.
  • Performs duties with an awareness to avoid overloading, obstruction of equipment movement, working with overhead utilities, etc.
  • Effectively communicates to all site personnel.
  • Maintains daily logs of equipment usage, fuel, maintenance, etc.
  • Daily & routine maintenance of equipment (including, but not limited to, greasing, fueling, cleaning equipment).
  • Identifies, reports, and corrects hazards within the employee’s capability.
  • Performs tasks maintaining all health, safety and environmental rules and ensures all work is done in a manner which enhances the safety of the work environment.
  • Other duties may change without notice.
Working Conditions/Environment
  • Regularly operates in a highly safety‑conscious environment, outdoor and indoor.
  • Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
  • Regularly be exposed to a noisy environment, with heavy machinery.
Salary

$26/Hr-$29/Hr

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
