Responsibilities- Assist Journeyman or Master Electrician with the installation of conduit, tray, wire and electrical equipment.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a professional manner with customers, clients, co‑workers, and management.
- Assist in conducting electrical work in accordance with relevant codes and customer specifications.
- Effectively generate and communicate detailed work records and paperwork.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Pushing and pulling electrical conduit, trays, and equipment into position.
- Climbing ladders, scaffolding, and manlift to access work areas at various heights.
- Standing, kneeling, crouching, and bending for extended periods during installation and repair tasks.
- Working in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions, including outdoor settings in the field (West Texas and New Mexico).
- Operating forklifts, manlift, trenchers, and other mechanical equipment as required.
Experience, Education and Certifications
- 0‑4 years in the industrial electrical field in the upstream Oil & Gas sector.
- Ability to help fabricate and install conduit, tray, wire and electrical equipment.
- Maintains an apprentice card showing that he or she is in an apprenticeship for the state of Texas.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the company’s and insurers’ driving policy requirements.
- Applicable regulatory safety training is a plus.
- Need to be fit for duty.
- Knowledge of most electrical components commonly found in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
- Ability to work safely and recognize potential hazards.
- Competent with the use of tools and equipment as it relates to the electrical trade.
- Detail‑oriented, results‑driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively, take direction, work well in a team environment, and interact with all levels of management, engineering, systems, operations and field personnel.

- Calibration equipment (Hart, Crystal, Loop calibrators, etc.)
- Handheld electrical tools needed to perform his or her job duties.
- Forklift, manlift, trencher, etc.
- Applicants need to be local to the West Texas area to work from Big Springs, TX to Carlsbad, NM on short notice.
- Position will work primarily in the field. Subject to time pressures and constraints and is also dependent on input from others.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the company’s insurers’ driving policy requirements.
- Subject to a background check, as well as drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations.
