Next Gen Pastor

We are seeking a Christ-centered leader who will have a direct role in discipling high school and middle school students while also overseeing a leadership team of volunteers in our children’s
ministries.

Preferred experience, background & character strengths:

College degree – preferably in one of the following areas:
Biblical studies;
Christian education;
Elementary, Middle Grades, or High School Education
Alignment with vision, values & doctrinal positions of The Grove (Restoration Movement)
Previous professional and/or volunteer experience in these areas of ministry
Servant-leader, authentic, humble, passionate, collaborative, eager to grow & learn

Responsibilities

The leader called to fill this role will have freedom to develop & execute a vision for these ministries. Current programming includes the following responsibilities.

Student Ministry:

Sunday morning weekly Growth Groups
Wednesday night large group gathering
Engaging with students & their families through shared life experiences to build strong relationships
Organizing & leading monthly/quarterly community-building recurring events with the students
Organizing & leading discipleship opportunities (CIY, Christian camp)
Investing in other adults who can help disciple students
Training & encouraging students to serve in church ministries and in the community

Children’s Ministry

Overseeing the scheduling of volunteers to staff weekly Children’s Ministry programming
Coordinating the resources for volunteers with CM leadership team
Organizing & leading monthly/quarterly community-building recurring events with children & families (VBS, Spring & Fall community outreach events)
Organizing & leading discipleship opportunities for older elementary students (CIY, Christian camp)
Recruiting & training volunteers
Serving as the point person for larger CM worship gatherings

While both of these ministries are currently being organized under this staff position, we feel confident that in the next 12-24 months these could become two full-time positions.
